Nauvoo!

Justin and I recently visited Nauvoo, Illinois and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Because Justin and I were on our way home from Ohio, we camped in Ohio, which was quite the experience. In a short story...we were in a 3 foot wide tent and sweating profuseness from the humidity. It was very hard to sleep, to say the least, but it was definitely an adventure. Justin and I have so much fun together and I love sharing these moment together.

The Monument to Women

The Browning gun smith shop

The printing press

The huge ox

Joseph, Hyram and Emma Smith's tomb stone

The Nauvoo temple. Justin and I did a session Tuesday morning. Such a great experience. We got special permission to go look at the baptismal font and Joseph Smith's Nauvoo Legend sward.

Inside Carthage Jail. The door to where Joseph Smith was.

The window Joseph Smith fell out of.

If you look towards the top of the window, there are hundreds of chips out of the cement, due to being shot out. Compare it to the cement section underneath the window.

Livin it up in a hotel!

The last couple of weeks of our summer in Ohio was spent in a extended stay hotel in Findlay, Ohio. It was another new adventure Justin and I had ventured together, but we are glad its over. This is what Justin walked out of the door with everyday... Hat, tag, his special pen, and his binder.

One would think that living in a hotel for two weeks would be boring, but look what we do in our spare time... Justin throws ice in my hair and as revenge, he gets his leg hairs pulled out...

More Sewing!

SEW I have been doing a little sewing lately. These are the four throw pillows I made on Saturday. I'm waiting to stuff them till we get back to Provo to save room in the car. These pillows minus the one in the back will be going on our living room couch. They designs don't go together, but the colors tie in together in some way. It pops more that way! I will show you how it looks when we get to Provo in August.
All of the sewing I have done recently.( Throw Pillows and Blankets)

These are the pillows that will be going on the couch. The really colorful one is the focus point, and from that I took the colors: yellow, red, white, and brown from it.

Front and Back of Pillow

I think I want to put something extra on the front of this one.

These are some of the receiving baby blankets I made. When I first found out I was pregnant last December, my mom bought me some baby fabric to make these blankets and have finally gotten around to them (now that I'm not pregnant) :)

My mother-in-law gave me all of this fabric and also gave me the idea to make this rag blanket. It was kind of confusing but a fun project. Next time it will go much quicker and hopefully look much better. Not too bad for a first rag blanket though.

Happy 4th of July!

Okay, so Justin got a new camera lens that he has been wanting for a really long time for hitting his monthly goal. Since today was the 4th of July, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to test the new lens out.

APX wives, minus a few.

Today we went to a park that was on Lake Erie and had a BBQ with some of the office. Justin barbecued, we ate, and had a blast!
