Kinley is 9 months now and growing by the minute...well sort of. She is still small (14.4 lbs and 27.25 inches tall) but so smart! She has two teeth now, which she likes to bite me with. She climbs stairs, claps her hands, stands up on everything, loves real food, as apposed to baby food and is showing us her silly personality everyday. We are living in California now with our parents for a few months till Justin starts medical school in August. We love being here with the grandparents and they absolutely love seeing Kinley everyday.

This is one of Kinley's Christmas presents from us. Luckily she loves it and walks around with it often. It is funny to see a baby so small walk around.

Kinley is starting to notice the bows and hats I put on her, and she doesn't like it. I am guessing it is because of the hair that is finally coming in.

Have I mentioned I have the cutest baby girl ever? For her first Halloween Kinley was Little Red Riding Hood. I got the idea into my head to make her costume. I am a fairly new sewer but I think I forget that sometimes. I get an idea into my head and it seems simple in my head but then when it is laid out in front of me, I say..."what did I get myself into?!". I have made several things, yet havent had to use one pattern. Talent, I think not! Luck! Anyways, I made this cape for Kinley and I am actually very proud of myself. It took a couple of hours but I conquered it! I wanted to eat her and her little basket too!

My brother Jordan is on a mission in Denver, Colorado and just celebrated his hump day. (First half). He has one year to go and as a family we all sent him goodies, letters and I added some pictures of Kinley, who he hasn't met yet. These were some of the pictures we sent him. Kinley turned six months last week and today she had her 6th month appointment. She was so great. On top of getting four shots, she is sick for the first time with a cold. She cried for a few seconds and then stopped, she is so strong! I can't believe six months have passed, but I have been really trying to take it all in and take nothing for granted. I am so thankful for this time we have together every day. Just within the past months she has learned to army crawl, get up on all fours, say "da-da", sit up all by herself, eat baby food...I feel like I am missing something. Point is, she is growing up like crazy but I love every new stage she enters. I love my life!

Life is going well...to say the least. I spend everyday, all day with this angel! I am so blessed to be able to stay home with Kinley and to watch her grow, develop and become this amazing little person. Just in the past month, she has grown so much! She is now eating baby food, on top of nursing, is starting to sit up, she scoots herself in circles around me (figuratively) , and is officially six months next week!!! Holy cow...where did the time go?! Oh and she said "da-da" three times!!! What the heck? I am the one that spends all day with her ;)

A lot is going on right now, but life is good. Justin is going to school, working and interviewing at several medical schools, and still finds time to spend with his girls! Kinley is five months now, growing and making us smile and laugh more and more each day. And I am blessed to stay home with Kinley, in which I enjoy more than I ever thought. I adore this little girl and look forward to picking her up out of her crib each morning. We look forward to this coming fall..This is Justin's last semester at BYU, it will be our three year anniversary and we may be moving back to California for a few months before we head to medical school. Like I said...a lot is going on, but it is all good and I wouldn't have it any other way.

4 Months!!!

Kinley turned 4 months this week. I can't believe how fast time is going by. It seems like just yesterday I had her. Kinley had her four month doctor's appointment today along with getting her shots. She did great. Only cried for a few minutes and then fell asleep. Kinley now weighs 12 lbs 5 ounces (21 percentile), 25 inches tall (74th percentile) and has the head circumference of 15.3 inches (5 percentile)...yes, small head but she is already so smart! She rolls over, laughs and talks in her bed, chews on everything, slobbers everywhere and loves her noisy/flashy toys. We are loving life and are looking forward to what life has to offer us.

Justin, Kinley and I went on a scenic train rain in Heber, Utah. It was a beautiful.

My college best friend, Ashleigh came by with her husband and baby boy. We had so much fun and it was so good to see her.

We blessed Kinley on September 17th in Red Bluff, California in my home ward. We were able to have so much of our family there and it was such a beautiful blessing!

Justin and I haven't taken any family pictures since Kinley was born. Here we are...Kinley is 2 and a half months old and I am down 37 lbs! Don't ask me how that happened, but thank goodness it did! Kinley is doing so well. She is on a great schedule in which she eat and sleeps great, spits up a WHOLE lot less, is learning to burp herself (or help me out), sleeps through the night about 7-8 hours and smiles so much. I love this stage she is in...we are starting to see her personality more and more and I have so much fun with her each day. We leave for California in a couple of days for Kinley's baby blessing; which might I add...she is going to be one heavy baby to bless. Not that she is a big baby, but she will be 3 months by then. Most babies are blessed at just a few weeks old. Good thing we have strong men in our family! We are also going home for the annual Wilhite Family Reunion and then I will stay an extra week with my family while Justin comes home and has to work. What a good husband and daddy!

I just love this. This is Kinley's "thing". It is so nice to have Justin around this summer. The past couple summers he has been doing APX, so he would be gone till about 11 pm, he would then eat dinner and we would go to bed. Justin is so great...he stays home as much as possible and spends time with Kinley and I, on top of applying for secondary med school applications, service projects, research, and work. Talk about a full load!

So Kinley was laying like this on the ground, so Justin picked her up and as he was picking her up, she stayed like this the whole time.

I love the stage Kinley is in. She coos/talks to us when she is really happy and excited and she is starting to try to roll over. She trows her legs up and kind of leans to the side. Practice makes perfect!

Justin missed the best part. I was sitting on a couch full of clothes to be folded and fell asleep while burping Kinley. Well, at least I got ready for the day. I got that going for me :)

Poor thing. Nana (my mom) got Kinley this adorable bathing suite but it is a 3-6 months. It is big on her so I decided to adjust it to where I could tie the bows at her shoulders to where it fit her pretty good. This is before the adjustments.

Kinley is 2 months old now (10 weeks) and doing great! At her two month appointment she weighed 10 lbs 9 oz. , and is 22 inches long. She stays awake longer during the day and sleeps great through the night! Kinley smiles so much and with every smile, she melts my heart. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy baby girl and be able to spend everyday with this sweet bundle of joy.

This picture is of last summer, but I just love Us!!! Justin is so perfect for me and I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and father to Kinley. I am glad that I am not the only one who speaks silly to Kinley and I am grateful for each and every moment we are all together as a family. Even though he has a ton on his plate, he makes time for us and makes sure we take priority. Oh and Justin just got his score back from the MCAT...the average score of someone who gets into D.O. school is 27. Justin's score after studying for two weeks (because Kinley was born early): 31!!! Kinley and I are so proud of you baby!!!

Kinley sleeping in her crib. Starting at 8 weeks, Kinley started sleeping in her crib. Before that she slept in a pack and play newborn napper next to my bed. I am so lucky...at about 4-5 weeks, she started sleeping through the night!

So one day I was cooking dinner in the kitchen and I walked into the living room to get something. I look down and see this: Justin had put "hand cuffs" on Kinley. He was sitting right next to her laughing. I took a picture and told him I was going to put it on facebook. He said jokingly, "no, somebody is going to call CPS on me".

At Kinley's 2 month appointment she got three shots. Luckily the nurse was quick, so she just cried for a few seconds...what a good baby!

Sorry Kinley...Sadly, this is only the beginning.

Look how strong she is. Just a few hours after she was born she held her head up off of my chest, but only for a second. Now she can hold her own body weight (which she has done for a while) and can hold her head up for minutes...what a strong girl.

This past weekend Justin took Kinley and I on a wonderful date. That morning we went to an outdoor art show/farmers market in Provo. Later on in the evening Justin and I made shish kabobs together, we went to the park, took pictures, barbequed and played latterball. The only bad part...mosquitoes. After we got home we watched a movie and Justin made delicious apple crapes for dessert. Our dates now consist of the three of us; wouldn't have it any other way.

As I sat down tonight, I looked down at my healthy, happy baby girl and couldn't help to think of all of my blessings. First of all I am so grateful to have been raised by parents who loved me and didn't go a day without telling me. Growing up, I knew I belonged, I knew I was loved, I was given the attention I needed and I was being tought the things I needed to learn. I am grateful for my siblings...Yes we fought like crazy but I remember my mother telling me to be nice to them because some day they were going to be my best friends. Well, now I know. . Second, I am so grateful to have Justin as my husband and father to my child. I could not imagine life without him and I quite honsestly dont remember life without him. He is patient, kind, selfless, sincere, funny and shows me he loves me everyday with his words and actions. I am so blessed to have a worthy priesthood holder in my home who I can call upon at any time and go to for anything that is on my mind. My love for him grows each day and still gives me the chills. And finally, my most recent blessing...Kinley. As long as I can remember I wanted to be a mother. I have always felt that being a mother was my "calling" in life. After Justin and I got married I looked forward to life with just the two of us but I couldnt wait for that time in our life when we would bring a baby into this world. After my miscarriage last year, I felt so tourn apart from losing my baby. I promised God that if he would bless us with a healthy child, I would NEVER take it for granted. I would raise that sweet baby the best I could and love him or her as much as I knew how. Well, life goes by and I get cought up in feedings, changing diapers, rocking her to sleep, taking baths, ect and I sometimes forget about that point in my life. I am not saying I have been taking her for granted, but I need to remember that a crying baby, lack of sleep or a dirty diaper is nothing..Life is better and bigger than getting caught up in the little things. I am grateful I have these dirty diapers to change, sleep to lose and a crying baby to soothe. I can truly say that Heavenly Father knows what he is doing. Although we may not like the timing of things or thought things would turn out different, he knows best. He knows what we will grow from, he knows what we need and he know what will make us truly happy in the end. I look at my sweet little girl and my heart just beams. I can't say I am glad I had my miscarriage but I am so glad that I know who is in charge and he knows me best of all. He is the reason I have what I have and he is the reason why my daughter is here: happy and healthy and stealing my heart as we speak.

Kinley is about 7 weeks old now and getting cuter by the second. She is smiling at us more and more and even picked up a rattle by herself. Justin sat it on her lap and we were on the couch talking and I hear the rattle and we look down and she has it in her hand, playing with it. I swear she is smarter and stronger than we think! I am getting so excited for her new developments and I can't wait to play with her!

Kinley is almost a month now, yet it seems like I just had her yesterday. I am so blessed to be able to spend each day with her and see how much she is changing and developing. As I sit up in bed during her 6 am feeding, I just stare at her, in aw. How in the world did Justin and I make this angel?! She is truly a miracle in my life.

Yes, not every moment is bliss, but even in situations like this, you can't help but laugh. Good thing I love her so much. If it was anyone else.....

Biggest spit up...EVER!

I am amazed at how much my love for Justin grows as our life changes together. Just after Kinley was born, I saw how proud and happy he was. Justin was a natural; he is such an amazing father. As I look at these two together, my heart melts. I am so blessed to have such a hardworking, loving husband who takes care of us and loves us to pieces. It is because of him that I am able to stay home with our sweet Kinley and teach her all that I can so she becomes the young women Heavenly Father intended her to be.

Kinley was a little Jaundice so we put her in the sun. She loved it!

April 21st, 2011 we welcomed our sweet little Kinley into this world. Several weeks ago, Justin had told me that he was fine with Kinley coming anytime after finals. Seeing that finals were over April 20th, I laughed and said "yah, I don't think so, that's three weeks early." After having my 36 week appointment, they told me I was four centimeters dilated, 80 % effaced and -1 station. By this time, I figured Kinley was going to come sooner than expected so I rushed to get everything together. For the last couple of weeks I had a to do list on the fridge to clean, organize my shelves, grocery shop, pack hospital bag, get everything squared away with insurance, call aflac, ect.

April 20th, Justin was done with finals and we went to his work BBQ party. At 1 am the following morning I started to have contractions. I got up from bed, took a bath but that didnt seem to help. I went into the living room and breathed through each contraction hoping I wouldnt wake Justin up. At about 5 am, I woke Justin up and asked him to rub my back hoping it would stop my contractions. This had worked in the past with my false labor. We sat in the living room, while watching the early morning news. I timed the contractions while Justin held me and rubbed my back. Although I was going through pain, it was so nice to have Justin there, supporting me, kissing my forehead and encouraging me through each contraction. At this point my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart, lasting about 1 minute long. Because I knew I was at least 4 centimeters dilated, I thought I should probably go into the hospital. I had a doctors appointment in just a few hours and tried to wait it out, but I soon started to feel her get lowing into my pelvis and felt like I couldnt sit down. After all, I didn't want to deliver at home or on the side of the highway. Because I didnt want to go into the hospital and have them send me home with a $5,000 bill, I wanted to make sure it was true labor. I called my mom and she thought I was in labor. So, Justin gave me a blessing, we got ready and headed to the hospital. By 8 am we were at the hospital getting checked. I was 4 1/2 centimeters dilated and 90% effaced. She said that because I am 3 weeks early, they wouldnt induce me so we would have to wait an hour and see what kind of progress I had made. A few minutes later my doctor came in to check me. I was about 5 centimeters dilated, fully effaced and my bag of water was bulging. He decided to admit me and break my bag of water. A short while later, they moved me into the labor and delivery room. By this time, I was pretty confident that I wanted an epidural. The nurse said that there were six other women who also wanted an epidural, so if I wanted one, now was the time. Really? I thought I would have to go longer before I had one, but okay! By this time I started to get the shakes. It was all happening so fast. I leaned over against Justin which helped with the shakes but I just remember holding his hand so hard because I was so nervous. The epidural didn't hurt as bad as I thought, but I knew exactly what he was doing back there and that made me nervous. A few minutes later, my legs were all tingly and starting to get numb. They put a couple of warm blankets on top of me and It was as if I were in heaven. Pain was gone and I was so warm. It was wonderful!!! As I would have a contraction I felt my stomach move up but I felt no pain. About an hour or so later, the nurse gave me pitocin to speed things up. But a few minutes later after getting the pitocin, the doctor broke my water. About half an hour later, I was fully dilated, and ready to push. WOW! Holy Cow, how did this happen so fast. I was just glad to be numb. As far as the epidural goes, I hadnt had to push the button for more medicine yet so I was getting some feeling back in my legs and felt pressure, but no pain. The nurse said that was good so that I knew when to push and would be able to feel how hard I was pushing. They brought everyting in for the delivery and I did a couple practice pushes with the nurse so she could see how fast it would go. Some women push for hours...lucky for me I only had to push a few times and she was out. Again, thank goodness for the epidural! The doctor had me feel her head as she was crowning. Wow! I didnt expect her to be so far out. Justin was so great. He was taking pictures/ videotaping and holding my leg while being a wonderful coach and encouraging me with words and kisses. Then she was here! She had a beautiful cry. Because she was so early she had a little labored breathing so they took their time with her. They told me not to worry, that she was fine but they were going to take her to the nursery and make sure everything was fine. I got to hold my beautiful little girl for a few minutes but then they took her to the nursery with Justin. A few minutes after delivering and after being sewn up from my episiotomy they set a trey of dinner on my lap and left me. I didn't want dinner, I wanted my baby. Later, Justin came back to check on me. He told me that she was fine and that they were just giving her a bath, ect. The nurse then helped me to my after delivery room. I waited for a couple hours and then finally my little girl arrived with Justin. She was beautiful! I just couldnt stop looking at her and kissing her. I cant believe our little girl is here.

Kinley is now 2 weeks old and the love of my life. Everyday Justin and I fall more and more in love with her and laugh for the silly faces she makes. Kinley is such a good baby, hardly ever cries and smiles so much. She always holds her hands by her face and has a million different facial expressions which steal our hearts every time. For these past couple of weeks, we have had lots of help between my parents and Justin's mom but now were alone as our happily little family. Justin is such a natural daddy and helps me out so much. His eyes light up when he holds Kinley and adores her every move. We are so blessed to have happy, healthy Kinley to our family. I don't know what we did without her but I thank Heavenly Father she is here.

Thirty one weeks and counting down. It seems crazy that I have only 9 weeks left and only 6 more weeks until I am full term. Where did the time go?! I guess feeling this way is a good thing. Being well into my third trimester, I have been experiencing the normal things that accompany pregnancy about this time....hard time sleeping, braxton hicks, back pain, contractions, swelling when I cross my legs throughout the day, trouble bending over to tie my shoes, cravings (McFlurries) which I am happy to announce that I have only had two okay maybe three in my whole pregnancy, ect. I also try to keep up with exercising...I walk a few miles once a week at the BYU indoor track and do an hour of palates a few times a week. Palates gets harder and harder the bigger I get, but I try as hard as I can to reach for those toes. Although these things are part of being pregnant, I love it. I am afraid I am going to miss being pregnant. I love feeling my little girl kick, prod, poke and feel arms and legs moving across my belly. And I love that when I am in a hot bath she wakes up and splashed around with/ in her mommy's tummy. :)

We are getting closer and closer to having the baby's room ready. Just a few touches and it will be set for baby Wilhite to join the family. Although the realization of having a new baby comes to mind more and more often, it makes me so excited to hold our little girl and to finally see what we have created and to feel her sweet spirit come into our home. It seems crazy to me sometimes that we will actually have a baby of our own soon. The other night Justin and I slept in and had a really relaxing day and we talked later that night about how things were going to change, but I think it will be one of those changes you wouldn't change for anything. I have been wanting to be a mom for such a long time and we have been blessed with this little, healthy spirit and that is such a huge blessing. I will never take pregnancies or babies for granted and if I do, I hope someone gives me a good shove. Heavenly Father is entrusting us with his children and I think that is so amazing. We as women have the opportunity to take these sweet spirits and to raise them to be righteous children of God and I am going to do everything in my power to protect them, love them and nurture them as I know Heavenly Father would.

I am so grateful for a husband who is excited about this little addition to our family and for someone who tries to be as involved as he possibly can. He....comes to all of the appointments, feels my tummy when we are just laying around watching t.v. or a movie, talks to her, tells her to stop kicking his mommy in places that don't feel so great, gives into my cravings for McFlurries every once in a while and tells me I look more beautiful while being pregnant than ever. Even though I know that's not true, I appreciate so much that he seems sincere when he tells me that. :) I appreciate that he deals with my sassyness when I don't get enough sleep and I appreciate how he encourages me to get enough sleep, kick my legs up and gives me massages when I need them most. He is the best and I couldn't have asked for a better daddy for my little girl! He is going to be amazing!

Justin and I are expecting a little girl on May 10th! We are so surprised but so so excited! Grandma Joy bought us girl clothes and I got a crib, pack and play, baby names book, boppy breasfeeding pillow and some maternity clothes for christmas. We are looking forward to this our little girl joining our family in just 19 more weeks! As I feel her more and more each day I get more and more excited!

We are pleased to announce that Justin and I are expecting our first baby May 10th!

First trimester was full of sickness and lots of naps, but it is all worth the final product! I am 14 weeks along, into my second trimester and loving every moment.

I feel so blessed to be at this point and am so excited to meet this little person inside me. Mommy hood, here I come!

Date Nights!

After we got back from Ohio, Justin and I have made it an effort to start going on weekly dates. So far we have been on a tandem bike ride up Provo Canyon, miniature golfing, out to lunch and dinner, went to a little carnival, ect. I love spending time with Justin and he makes one hot date!

In 18 holes, Justin beat me only by 2 points. This was my first time too.

Justin and I each got a hole in one.

Several times, we would hit the ball in the same pattern and get the same score.

This is when Justin got a par 5.

After golding, we went into Boondocks with twenty tokens and played a bunch of games. This was my favorite.

With the 150 tickets we won, we got money connects and laffy taffy. What a rip off!

In the beginning of August, we moved back to Provo, Utah to a new apartment. We moved from a one bedroom apartment complex to a two bedroom four-plex. I will admit, it is a step down from what were lived in before, but it is much bigger for a lower price. You can't beat that. Also, we live in a nice quite neighborhood south of BYU and there is a nice park one block away.

The piece on the wall is a masterpiece made by Justin and I. We are quite proud of it!

Miscarriage Due Date

As I was looking at my calender today, I came across a sight I thought I had prepared for: "Due date" in big, red letters.

September 4th, was supposed to be a great day. It was the day I was supposed to meet that little life inside me, but instead, I sit here wiping my tears, while being forced into reality...of our baby who never made it to my arms. Why is it that the things you love most, bring you the greatest sorrow? I will admit that as time goes by, your heart starts to mend, but the memory never fades. I remember it like it was yesterday that I was nagging Justin to read the baby books and trying to suck my stomach in for a pregnancy mug shot.

It saddens me that I am the only one keeping this baby's memory alive. I feel the need to fight for it sometimes - especially today. And it breaks my heart to think that this tiny life came to us for a brief while, only to be forgotten.

Although I don't think about what happened everyday, I still think about it often, especially on a day like today. But I thank Heavenly Father for the ability to heal and to see blessings through tribulations. I am grateful to Know that I will see our child again and we will get the opportunity to raise him or her. Although today is just an ordinary day for the rest of the world, it is significant to me. I will never forget that sweet spirit who lived inside me for three months and I am confident that he or she is looking down on me now, thanking me for not forgetting.

I know God has a bigger plan for us and it is only he who knows what is best for our family. I know we will become parents...Maybe not today, but someday. I don't know exactly what I was supposed to learn from this experience, but I am a stronger woman for it. Through this, I have gained a love for my husband I never knew was possible and grew to know just a fraction of Heavenly Father's love for his children.

Thank you for giving me something to come home to!

Nauvoo!

Justin and I recently visited Nauvoo, Illinois and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Because Justin and I were on our way home from Ohio, we camped in Ohio, which was quite the experience. In a short story...we were in a 3 foot wide tent and sweating profuseness from the humidity. It was very hard to sleep, to say the least, but it was definitely an adventure. Justin and I have so much fun together and I love sharing these moment together.

The last couple of weeks of our summer in Ohio was spent in a extended stay hotel in Findlay, Ohio. It was another new adventure Justin and I had ventured together, but we are glad its over. This is what Justin walked out of the door with everyday... Hat, tag, his special pen, and his binder.

One would think that living in a hotel for two weeks would be boring, but look what we do in our spare time... Justin throws ice in my hair and as revenge, he gets his leg hairs pulled out...

More Sewing!

SEW I have been doing a little sewing lately. These are the four throw pillows I made on Saturday. I'm waiting to stuff them till we get back to Provo to save room in the car. These pillows minus the one in the back will be going on our living room couch. They designs don't go together, but the colors tie in together in some way. It pops more that way! I will show you how it looks when we get to Provo in August.

These are some of the receiving baby blankets I made. When I first found out I was pregnant last December, my mom bought me some baby fabric to make these blankets and have finally gotten around to them (now that I'm not pregnant) :)

My mother-in-law gave me all of this fabric and also gave me the idea to make this rag blanket. It was kind of confusing but a fun project. Next time it will go much quicker and hopefully look much better. Not too bad for a first rag blanket though.

Okay, so Justin got a new camera lens that he has been wanting for a really long time for hitting his monthly goal. Since today was the 4th of July, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to test the new lens out.

So here are some things we have been doing in Cleveland...Playing Softball, swimming, diving for dollars and um..making funny faces in the mirror. We are having a blast here in Cleveland and are very blessed to be able to travel around to so many places!

Every summer the boys go 'Diving for Dollars'. The office managers throw pennies into the pool, the guys jump in according to rank and however many pennies they pick up, is how much dollars they get.

Year and A Half Anniversary...In Kirtland!

Today was our Year and a half anniversary! It's crazy how time flies by, and I know I will say the same thing in 60 years. I love my life and I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband who adores me. I am so lucky! Today, we thought going to Kirtland, Ohio would be a good Sunday activity and indeed it was. We had so much fun. Sunday morning we both woke up at 5 am, unintentially, which we thought was really funny considering we had gone to bed at 1:30 am. We stayed in bed talking for a while and then decided to get up and head to Kirtland for church. With Kirtland being only fifty minutes away, we made it to church at 9 am on time! After church we went to Historic Kirtland, where we took a two hour tour by sister missionaries. After the tour we had a picnic on the grounds and then headed to the Kirtland temple.

This was the neatest place, where so many things in church history occurred and I am so grateful we had the opportunity to go there.

After the tour in Historic Kirtland, we came to the Kirtland temple. It was surprising to me how different the feeling was than I had expected. It was beautiful and I was so amazed what people did back then to build this house of the lord; they gave up so much to follow the prophet. Good for them!

This was our guide for the John Johnson Farm. He was really great! The John Johnson Farm was where Joseph Smith lived for over a year and was dragged out of the house to be tarred and feathered.

They say that Sister Johnson was the Martha Stewart of this century...look at the colors she painted the guest bedroom! This is the room Joseph Smith was dragged out of.

This is where Joseph Smith translated some of the Book of Mormon and had several revelations! It is amazing to think Joseph Smith sat right there.

Today a friend and I started a craft project that we had in mind. Car seat canopies are becoming more and more popular and I figured I might need one some day, so why not make it now. I had a whole Saturday to myself. We started at ten o'clock this morning and I just got home at nine p.m. The project itself took about 6-7 hours. It took many mistakes to develop this piece of work :) but I'm actually pretty proud of myself, considering this is only the second or third thing I have sewn in my life. Next time, I think it will go much faster.

Summer With Andrew

This summer while Justin is at work, I decided to get a job to help pass the time and help with the income. I am watching an Autistic, six year old little boy. His name is Andrew and he is great! He is obsessed with Chuggington the show and trains. He builds fifty feet train tracks around the house in such a way, I would have never been able to create. We have fun drawing together, going to the playground, writing our letters and numbers on white boards and of course, watching chuggington and building forever long train tracks. I am so glad I have this opportunity to get to know a child with autism this way and be able to help him in any way possible.

So with my time out here in Cleveland, I thought I mind as well be productive with my time. Since Mothers Day, Fathers Day and several Birthdays were coming up, I decided that I would save money and have more fun making cards for people that would be personalized and more meaningful. I have realized that I am a little better than I thought I would be and I really enjoy making them. This new hobby of mine is addicting, enticing, yet really rewarding. It is nice to make something, not for yourself to be put into a book, but to be sent to someone in need. I like this new hobby of mine!

Hello Cleveland!

We have been in Cleveland, Ohio for two weeks now and have been really enjoying it. Ohio is so green and pretty but we are still waiting for summer to come along. It is rainy/ tornado season right now, but it should be all done in a couple of weeks. Justin is working hard, knocking doors all day, everyday so we enjoy our Sundays off together. This past Sunday we went to church and then drove to the city to have a picnic. We sat by the water edge of Lake Erie and enjoyed our chicken salad sandwiches. I love Justin so much and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking husband.

So Justin came home to me the other day and told me he would be getting pepper sprayed, in order to carry pepper spray at work. Although he wasn't obligated to do this, Justin thought it would be a fun experience, and to tell you the truth he does things like this for the battle scars. Now that its over with, he doesn't even carry pepper spray with him; he says that his fists can do more damage. When he walked into the house after being sprayed, It made me so sad. It looked like he had been crying for hours, but he just laughed. He wanted to go over to our neighbors, who are good friends and tell them we had gotten into a fight and I had slapped him in the face. ha! He would! He said it hurt, but it wasn't as bad as he thought. Overall, Justin did have fun and for the men bloggers and of course his brothers, I would like to boast Justin and his battle wounds.

Trials Only Make Us Stronger

For those of you who didn't know, I was pregnant and recently experienced a miscarriage in late February. I went in for my 12 week appointment. The doctor told me, "This is going to be the most fun and quick appointment of your whole pregnancy!" Little did I know, how wrong he was. As he set the doppler on my stomach he commented on how strong and loud my placenta was, he said that was a really good sign. The first time I heard a heartbeat, my heart dropped but then he told me that it was my heartbeat, not the baby's'. After a few minutes of searching for our baby's heartbeat, he told me that sometimes the baby is just in the back and it is hard to hear. He said, "I am going to send you over to the ultrasound tech just to make you feel more at ease, but I feel that everything is okay and the placenta is really strong, so that is a good sign. No worries". So Justin and I head over to the Ultrasound tech laughing and joking with not much to worry about, right? So I laid on the table, the lady got all of our information and put the wond on my belly. All I saw was a big empty space. Justin asked the lady, "Is that dark spot her overy?" I could tell something was wrong with how she told him, "um, lets focus on this right now." My heart dropped. Where was my baby? She started measuring everything...She said, "well your uterus and placenta are measuring 12 weeks but as you can see, the baby isn't viable. You should see a big body, head and heart beat, but you can't." I immediately started crying. "This can't be happening." I looked over at Justin and then back up at the screen. She said that the baby was about 8 week size and that is probably when it passed away. She gave Justin and I a second and then walked us over to meet with the doctor in his office. The whole way there and sitting in his office, I saw pregnant women all around me and hear women talking about their pregnancies and about their birth, ect. I just wanted to get out, go home and cry. It was surreal. It felt like I was having an out of body experience just going over and over through my head...." I am still having morning sickness, having mood swings, getting heart burn, and starting to show. This was our baby..." The doctor sat us down and spoke with us basically trying to make us feel better, and to tell us our options. Because I was almost out of my first trimester, he felt like a D& C would be best ( surgery to get the baby out), but the cost is more than a regular delivery and it was pretty invasive, the other two choices were to take some medication to start contractions to get the baby out, so you can control it a bit more and the third option was to just let it come naturally but the bad thing with that is it could take weeks and my baby had already been gone for a month now. I could not stand the thought of my deceased baby staying in me any longer than it had been. I wanted it out, so we decided on the medication. So, I went home, went straight to my bed, and cried. Justin tried to comfort me but I was too gone. After a few minutes Justin had to go to class, so I headed over to my sister's house to confide in her. After a while in confiding in her and talking with my mom on the phone, I went home because I was exhausted. I cried and cried, till I fell asleep. Justin had to work after school, so he came home before work and gave me a blessing. It is such a blessing to have the priesthood in our home, where I can ask my husband for a blessing at any moment. I could tell it was hard for Justin to get all the words out, he started to get emotional but he stayed strong and gave me the blessing I needed to hear. After comforting me for a while, he had to leave for work. This was Justin's busiest week, so he felt really bad that he was at school and work most of the day. The next day, we had to give the doctor our decision so I called him up and we set an appointment for the next day to get started. Tuesday I stayed home to cry, sleep, ect. I needed time to just cry. Wednesday morning, Justin and I headed to the doctor's office. As I was sitting there, I kept avoiding pictures of babies on the wall, pregnant ladies walking around me and the puppy eyes I was getting from the nurses. The first step to this was the doctor was going to put a stick of seaweed in my cervix to take the liquid out of my cervix which would cause the seaweed to swell and help me start to dilate. As he put it in, I was having doubts if I could do this. I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but this was no fun. Justin wanted to watch, which made me feel more comforted that he knew what was going on and I felt "protected". When the doctor was done, he explained to us that we will come back in 24 hours and get it taken out, then he will give us the medication to start the contractions. He told us that if I started bleeding I could take it out and put it in a baggy. (to make sure it isn't stuck up in my uterus if they couldn't find it). When I went home from the appointment, I felt uncomfortable, but it was nothing I hadn't felt before. Throughout the day I could feel my cervix getting bigger but it wasn't a big deal. At about 6 pm Justin got home from school and my pains started turning into contractions and I was getting them about every two minutes. When I have periods, I get horribly bad cramps so I am used to pain, (I am allergic to most main meds, so I cant take anything) and I just breathed through them and it was fine. Before we went to bed I mentioned to Justin, "I have a bad feeling I am not going to get much sleep tonight." Throughout the night I was getting contractions and just breathed through them. The doctor gave us some pain meds that I would probably be able to take, but I wasn't going to take those unless I was dying..I didn't want to take the chance. Justin would wake up about every hour, and of course, I was up breathing through the pain. At about 4 am, I couldn't take the pain anymore. By this time the contractions lasted about 30 seconds and there were only about 5 seconds in between them. I thought my pelvis and uterus was going to explode. Justin woke up probably because of my moaning and whimpering and tried massaging my back to make me feel better but it wasn't helping. I told Justin I felt like I was going to actually die. I asked Justin to give me another Blessing, in which he did. A couple contractions later, I felt something so I had Justin check to see if I was bleeding and I was. Two more contractions later, my water broke. I was in shock. I didn't even know that you had a 'water' this early, nor that it broke when you had a miscarriage this far along. Although in shock, It felt better as if the water braking had let some pressure go. Justin walked me to the the tub. (It's going to start getting gruisome, so if you get grossed out easy, don't read the next few paragraphs.) I knelt in the tub and Justin took the seaweed stick and gause out and placed them in a baggy. Blood and clots started to pour out of me. I was in the bath for about three hours. in that time Justin stayed by my side while I threw up twice and about passed out a couple times fed me cheese, and water and put washcloths on my face. I tried taking the pain meds the doctor gave us but I kept throwing it up, so finally at about 7 am, I was able to keep it down. When I felt a little better, I got out of the pure blood red water, Justin washed me off, put my clothes on and set me in bed. I just laid there, praying and hoping that the medicine would work and that I wouldn't have an allergic reaction to the pain meds. Prayers work, let me tell you! I have not taken any medication in about 7 years. I started getting reactions in high school so the just told me to stop taking them because it could kill me. So I did. As the pain subsided, I fell asleep and amazing Justin went to the doctors office to give him the baggy of 'goods' and to get pain medication, medication to help me not throw the pain meds up and the meds to help me start to contract to get the baby out. A couple hours later, Justin woke me up to give me some more pain meds and at this time he was going to give me the meds that would start my contractions so I went to the bathroom real quick. Just then, the baby and placenta came out. Justin told me not to look and he made sure that everything was there and that it was what it was supposed to be. It was. We did what we were supposed to do with it. I felt relieved because it was out of me, but I felt sad because It was my baby. I carried that for three months, grew attached to it, and planned its future. But it was no more. I wasn't pregnant. My whole life I wanted to be a mother and I felt that it had just been taken away from me. It is actually a blessing how everything happened. I didnt have to take the medication, which would have caused a lot more hard contractions, I did it naturally and non invasive, Justin was there and able to take care of it and be there with me (he was suppose to leave an hour later for school) and it is a blessing how quickly it happened. Usually, when you do it naturally it takes a long time, but it just took a few agonizing hours of pain and then it was out. Justin laid me in bed, took care of me and made sure my sister was here when he couldn't be. The pain meds made me really tired so I slept a lot but in all it was so much better than what it cold have been.

About a week later, I can finally see more possitive than negaitive in this whole 'situation'. At first I felt like I wouldn't be able to go through this, but with the Lord and my amazing husband by my side my heart is healing quite well. This expeircne could have been so much worse and I pray to Heavenly Father that it wasn't. I feel like we will see our baby again and we will have the oportunity to raise him or her and to get to see his personality. Justin and I have grown closer than ever through this experience and I thank Heavenly Father for such an amazing husband that can take care of me, comfort, bless me and support me as much as he does. I can't imagine going through this with anyone else. Time will heal our pain, but I know it will all be okay. Every step of the way he was there for me and never for one second left my side. Christ knows exactly what I went through, experienced that himself and I trust him with our baby.

This late January the Dodd Squad got together in Maui, Hawaii for a family reunion. We had a blast. We stayed at this amazing condo on the beach and each night heard the waves crashing as we fell asleep. While we were in Hawaii we went swimming a lot, snorkeled, went on a snorkeling boat out to Molokini (one of the best snorkel spots in the world). Justin saw and touched a sea turtles and we saw dolphins. Also, because it was whale sea season, we saw so many whales. We had such a great time here in Hawaii. It is my most favorite place in the world. We hope to return soon!

This was my 1 year anniversary gift for Justin. Dec. 27th! Justin made me a video power point o our first year together. I love it!

Merry Christmas 2009! This christmas was very eventful. We got to spend lots of time with both sides of the family, we had our one year anniversary, and much more. This has been an amazing year!

We carved pumpkins with the Kristle Family. This was Justin's APX manager and his family. His wife and I got really close during the summer and we grew to love their daughter; she is adorable. We had a great night of Papa Murphy's pizza and carving pumpkins.

Camping Trip to MOAB!

When Justin and I were getting back into Utah from Florida, we thought it would be a good idea to take a last vacation to Moab, Utah before summer was over. The weekend after we got back to Utah, we were on our way camping. It was so much fun. This was the first time we had ever been camping and it was a great opportunity to break in our new tent. We roasted starburst and made foil dinners for dinner. It was so nice to sleep under the stars, even though I didn't get too much sleep. (I was hearing noises all night long). While we were these, we drove around Arches National Park, which was beautiful and Justin went on a bike ride up Slickrock. We had an amazing time and will never forget it.

Justin went on a mountain bike ride up Slick Rock. It was really intense. He is amazing! It was about ten miles long and it only took him 2 1/2 hours.

We kept getting comment on Justin being a dare devil. It was a cliff on the other side. Scary!

Wilhite Family Reunion!

The last week of August, the Wilhite Family gathered for a family reunion. It was filled with fun activities, laughter, games, and the occasional P90X workout. On day 1 we relaxed by the pool, day 2 we went to church together, took family pictures (done by Justin) and played phase ten as a family. On day 2 the girls learned how to knit while the boys had planned a hike but ended up playing X-Box. On day 3 the family hiked to Burney Falls and went swimming when we got home. On day four, the adults went down the Sacramento River on rafts. On day five we had a family talent show where Justin and I made smoothies for everyone as our talent. On day six, the boys and a couple of us girls went to a shooting range in the Bend area. When we got back from shooting, we got our swimming suits on and went to Whiskeytown Lake. On our last day with the family, we had a family get together at Kid's Kingdom in Redding, CA. We had lunch, played games, took pictures and watched the kids play in the water. When we got home we had pizza for dinner and homemade root beer! The time went by too quickly. It was nice to see everyone and to spend time with the family members I hadn't spent too much time with sense we have been married. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family who gets along so well and can laugh at each other's quirks.

When Justin and I were shooting next to each other, one of his shells flew in the back of my shirt. It was hot and so I started swinging the gun around. Not good! As you can see, Jared taking my gun.

This is at the talent show. Jay's talent was that he could throw pies into people's faces and somehow Jason got nominated. We all got turns. I got him on the third try.

After Justin got off the wave runner. The water was so choppy. The water was red flagged and we weren't suppose to even be out there but we were. The waves had about four to five feet swells, so we got air to say the least.

This was my first time wave running. It was so scary but a lot of fun. I was out on the water for about ten minutes and then I was just imagining a shark in the water or a wave coming over me.

Fort Myers/ Miami APX office!

After spending four months here in Florida, we are ready to go home! Justin has done amazing this summer and I am so proud of him. He goes to work at 11 am and gets home at around 11 pm. His day is spent in the hot sun ,in humid air ,and walking in the ghettos, while I lay by the pool. And he never complains! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful, hard working, and dedicated husband. Here we come Utah and Cali!

Our friend Holly Beeman and her kids were visiting Miami and we just had to see them. I baby sat these kids when they were real young and I was there for one of their births. Holly (Beeman) treated us to Hard Rock Cafe. It was so nice to see the kids again. They are growing up so fast.

First Coconut!

Justin brought home our first coconut from work. We were going to carve "Welcome to the Wilhites", but it was harder than I thought. After a couple weeks of it sitting on the counter, acting as a decoration, we cut it open for it's juice. Justin has been on a smoothie kick for a couple of weeks and he got the idea to put the coconut juice in one of his creations. When we split the coconut open and tasted the juice, it caught me by surprise. Justin thought it tasted okay but I spit it out, thinking it was going to be sweet. Hey, you have to try new things, right?!

Goodbye Grandma...

My Grandma Dona died this week on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009. Grandma found out that she had a brain tumor this past April. Throughout this time, the doctors found cancer in the lungs and the lymph glands. She was put in ICU a couple months ago because she had caught pneumonia. We thought she was going to pass then, but she fought a little harder. We loved Grandma very much. She loved her family and she will be greatly missed.

Regional Champ Prizes

After winning the APX Regional Madness, and becoming Regional Champion, Justin won a outdoor tent, North Face hiking backpack, a Nike football and basketball and a $100 gift card to footlocker. I am so proud of him. He is such a hard worker.

This is our new tent. When Justin brought it home he said "we should set it up tonight after I get back from work and we can watch a movie in it." But I wanted to surprise him and have it ready when he got home. With an hour of hard work and calling every man I know, I figured it out by myself. It wasn't like the other ones I have put up before. When he came home from a long day at work, the tent was up and the movie was set. We ate dinner and watched "Firewall", then fell asleep in our new fort!
